It detects from 5 to 300 mm (adjustable 25-300 mm) using modulated visible red LED light with an 18 mm spot at 300 mm, providing 2 push-pull outputs (100 mA, short-circuit / reverse-polarity / overvoltage protected) with light-on/dark-on changeover, 500 Hz switching and 1 ms response. It communicates via IO-Link V1.1 (Smart Sensor profile, COM2, SIO mode) for service and process data, runs on 10-30 V DC, and connects via M8 x 1 4-pin connector. The 15 x 43.9 x 26.7 mm PC housing is rated IP67/IP69/IP69K for -40 to +60 degC washdown service.
